- 09/28/2009 Polsinelli Shughart Moves Office to Lower Downtown Denver
The Denver office of national law firm Polsinelli Shughart PC relocated today to a new building in the historic Lower Downtown District (LoDo). The firm’s new space at 1515 Wynkoop St. will accommodate the Denver office’s 25 attorneys and other staff members, as well as its plans for future expansion, according to G. Stephen Long, founder and managing partner of Polsinelli Shughart’s Denver office. Polsinelli Shughart moved from its former offices in Independence Plaza on 17th Street in Downtown Denver, where it served clients for the past 11 years.

The Chamber recorded Polsinelli Shughart attorneys during the firm’s annual Workplace Issues & Answers Workshop in St. Louis at the Charles F. Knight Center at Washington University, May 20, 2009. The featured guest speaker was Barbara Seeley, the regional attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) St. Louis.
- 08/07/2009 Polsinelli Shughart’s Science & Technology Law Group Awarded $87 Million, 10-Year Contract from the National Institutes of Health
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded Polsinelli Shughart PC a 10-year contract beginning August 3, 2009 that can be worth up to $87 million. The Science and Technology Law Group will provide patent work for the NIH, which has 27 institutes and centers including The National Cancer Institute, The National Human Genome Research Institute and The Center for Scientific Review. The NIH focuses its medical research in areas such as infectious disease, cancer and heart disease. As of 2003, the NIH was responsible for $28 million dollars, approximately 28 percent of all dollars spent annually in the United States on biomedical research.

The firm will relocate in the fall to accommodate its growing Chicago office, which has expanded to 30 attorneys. The 161 N. The building, located at 1515 Wynkoop St., is in a mixed-use district with restaurants, business services, retail, residential and Union Station. The firm will move to the new space from its current offices in the Independence Plaza on 17th Street in downtown Denver.

The Johnson County Bar Association has elected Polsinelli Shughart PC attorney Christine M. Graham as president for 2009-2010.
Graham began her term as president at the Bar Association’s monthly luncheon at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park.
Graham had previously served on the board, then as an elected officer and vice-president before being elected president
